One of the keys to Poland’s success is its connection to Germany, which has fuelled the growth of a vital and productive economy far removed from real estate bubbles and financial speculation in Spain or Ireland, notes La Repubblica, observing that the new prosperity can be seen by the naked eye: "in Gdansk, Krakow, Poznan, Torun and in every city of art, there are historic centres brilliantly restored and teeming with shops run by young people."
