National Bank of Romania (NBR) issues a silver coin dedicated to the anniversary of 100 years since the establishment of the Romanian Aviation Corps (NBR statement):
Pursuant to the provisions of Law No. 312/2004 on the Statute of the National Bank of Romania, as of 31 August 2015, the National Bank of Romania will put into circulation, for numismatic purposes, a silver coin dedicated to the anniversary of 100 years since the establishment of the Romanian Aviation Corps.
The coin has the following technical characteristics:

Diameter: 37 mm
Weight: 31,103 g
Quality: proof
Edge: milled
Obverse: two vintage airplanes, namely a Farman aircraft and a Blériot, the face value “10 LEI”, the coat of arms of Romania, the inscription “ROMANIA” and the year of issue “2015”.
Reverse: group of military men of the recently-established Romanian Aviation Corps, the 1915 military pilot badge, the inscriptions “CONSTITUIREA CORPULUI DE AVIATIE ROMAN”, “100 ANI” and “1915” – the celebrated year.
The silver coins are individually housed in transparent plastic capsules. They are accompanied by leaflets featuring a presentation of the numismatic issue in Romanian, English and French.
Each leaflet comes with a certificate of authenticity bearing the signatures of the Governor and the Chief Cashier of the National Bank of Romania.
The mintage of this numismatic issue is 250 coins.
The selling price is lei 310.00, VAT excluded, per silver coin, including the leaflet.
The silver coins dedicated to the anniversary of 100 years since the establishment of the Romanian Aviation Corps are legal tender on the territory of Romania.
The silver coins will be put into circulation through the branches of the National Bank of Romania in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Iaşi and Timişoara.
